I love and hate this product at the same time. This is long, but hopefully the points make sense. LOVE: 1. The speed at which I can type on it.2. How responsive are the buttons.3. How flat are the keys and the overall size of the keyboard.4. The fact that it is wireless and "solar".5. How light but well built the keyboard feels.6. Very minimal design as I don't need an extra dozen or so "gaming" or programmable buttons.7. The Solar app is clean, informative, and important to understand when making the most of your keyboard's charging options. HATE: 1. The battery usually lasts 2 years, after that the keypad becomes a door lock because the battery cannot be replaced.2. "Solar" only in function. This requires a fairly powerful light source to compensate for constant use.3. "Stays charged in total darkness for 3 months" is great and it's all just a marketing tactic, but who leaves their keyboard untouched for months? This leads you to believe that the keyboard stays charged during use, but in fact it doesn't. If you are a gamer or use your keyboard for heavy word processing work, you need a strong light source on your keyboard, otherwise it will be exhausted within 36 hours. However, the Solar app specifically states that on a 100 per cent charge, "your current reserve will allow you to use your keyboard in total darkness for three months, allowing you to type whatever you want." That's one pretty blatant lie, unless you only use your keyboard for a few minutes a day for three months. I literally use an LED flashlight on the back of an old phone, propping it up a few inches above the keyboard to provide just enough light to maintain a constant charge during heavy use. I don't understand how ambient light from outside (or even from a very large monitor) can charge a keyboard unless it's right next to a window. There is no indication that you have Caps Lock enabled. I often type "wrong password" because caps lock is on and I didn't realize it. Considering there is an app that shows the charge, there should be an overlay feature or display on the keyboard to notify you. Very often the percentage charge is wrong. Right now it says my keyboard is 82%. However, when I repeatedly click the light button that brings up the solar app, it very gradually (over 20 clicks or so) increases the charge by 1% at a time until it finally stops increasing. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS1. If you prefer a palm rest keyboard, this isn't for you.2. If you prefer a right-angle keyboard, this probably isn't for you. Although there are two "legs" that can pop out of the keyboard, they're very thin and don't offer much stability, especially if you have a tight keystroke. as a keyboard, but the solar charging requires a more powerful light source than expected. While a wired keyboard can last longer, I really haven't found anything that compares to how this solar powered keyboard feels when in use.
