Comfortable but too high

I have had an ACE brand ankle brace for many years but have decided to get a replacement so that I can it can rotate during the time point of my current wound. I got this size L/XL because I need support for swelling with too much tension. It's very soft and I love the extra padding around the ankle but having an old one to compare there are some obvious things I don't like. First, it's too big. The ankle support should not reach the middle of the lower leg, this is uncomfortable. I fold it. Second, the buttocks are too short for me - I don't have enough support so my foot doesn't hang out too much when I'm supporting it. Soft, comfy changes are great, but a bit desirable in the functional department.

Pros
  • Refined reinforced edges provide comfort and prevent rolling and slipping
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
