Just unbelievable!

Can't believe these exist. Typically, you would expect to pay around $500 to $1000 for a quality small diaphragm condenser microphone with three separate capsules. But here are a few for a hundred bucks. These microphones are made in China. I'm pretty sure it's the same mic as the ISK Little Gem but renamed. When you think of cheap Chinese condenser mics, you usually expect penetrating, piercing highs, questionable quality control, etc. I ordered another small diaphragm mic. condenser mics and sent them back because they sounded like ice picks. It's like the beginning of a new era. The sound of these mics is competitive with what you would expect from big names like AKG, Neumann etc. Yes, if you listen very carefully you can hear tiny differences. AKG mics don't sound exactly like Neumann mics either. The bottom line is these mics sound BIG regardless of price. They reproduce the sound accurately and sound very natural. They take the equalizer very well. I bought two sets thinking I would have to return 50% of them. I will definitely leave her. Several reviews in 2016 mentioned threading issues between preamps and capsules. My microphones didn't have this problem. Other reviews from the same period mentioned the microphones slipping in the case. The case I received is definitely not premium, but the microphones and all accessories fit snugly and securely in place. Some old reviews said the windshields would fall off. The ones I got were comfortable.

Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
