The photos describing the stand show that the height of the center stand can be adjusted, although the one I have didn't move. Screwdriver through the top hoops to use as a pull handle, then I put my heels on the base (with clean socks lol) and pulled as hard as I could. Nothing else, and I'm muscular for a girl. I can lift 170 pounds. Although the middle bar now rotates left to right, which probably shouldn't be happening lol. so everything else is perfect. It's durable enough to put on an iPad and draw if you're a digital artist (sometimes like me). He doesn't move at all. All materials are made of high quality materials and beautifully designed. The aluminum shine is beautiful. If I had to improve something I would find a way to make the base smaller but because my table is narrow there isn't much room. I would curve the place where the base meets the post nicely and make the coasters all white, as well as the coasters light pastel colors that would be metallic like the aluminum on the stand. I've looked everywhere for something like this but this is what I was able to find lol. It's still a great stand beyond the adjustable height.
