I received the Go Pro Hero 8 and needed extra protection for it when I went to the beach. My goal was to film myself on a boogie board. Let's just say I had delusions of grandeur about my abilities. Thank you for this case. The GoPro Hero 8 is now waterproof to 10m. However, I've never been in deeper water than when this case could really shine with an extra layer of protection. Several times I got lost and rolled on the bottom of the ocean. I was ok, the beach was ok and the GoPro was ok. Inserting and removing the camera is a breeze. Read the word to the wise, eat, have a clean, dry towel ready. I had to change the batteries as I was using an average of 4 batteries per trip so I practiced putting these in and out of the case a lot. It's always smart when you take it out of this case to dry your hands and dry the outside of the case and dry everything. It was easy for me to manipulate the modes and settings, even thanks to having access to the touchscreen. GoPro hero 8 lets you change modes and settings within a mode, even without using the touchscreen. Voice control worked surprisingly well too, yes, climbed well despite standing waist deep in the waves. The best part? When did I actually have a glitch, and when will I have a glitch in the future that damages the camera body? I just buy a new case which is much cheaper than a replacement GoPro.
