Always the Best Spiked Collars. When considering a spiked collar I usually go a size larger than what is normally recommended if the dog is particularly active. You get longer tines so the dog can't knock the tines out of the adjacent link and they don't bend as easily. I have an Aussie who dropped his collar several times due to these issues. Larger tines also dig a little less and are less painful, which is a plus or minus depending on your intention or point of view. In my case I changed the collar from 3mm to 3.25mm and it made a huge difference - no discarded collars.
