Review on Metra 95 7801 Installation 1990 2002 Vehicles by Bob Novitsky

I understand why people are unhappy with this product - you have to modify it to work on your specific car and it's not easy. And just because it is a universal kit type (fits Acura/Honda/Isuzu 1990-2006), it may not fit your car perfectly. In my case I have a 2002 Honda CRV that I am working on. The manual says (READ THE MANUAL!) that I need to remove all mounting clips except "A" and "H", but actually I also had to remove the "A" clips, leaving only two clips underneath . I thought about using a heated knife to cut through the clips until I remembered I actually have a hacksaw blade and some sandpaper to get the job done. The chassis frame is too thin to actually cover the factory metal brackets. I have searched everywhere for a kit that would fit a 2002 CRV and this is the ONLY kit I have found. Therefore, despite my dissatisfaction, 4 stars.
