Review on Create Beautiful Curls with Hot Tools Professional Black Gold Curling Iron/Wand, 1-1/4 inch, Black & Gold by Jill Ellis

I wanted to love this curling iron. It heats up quickly and gets the job done well, but the clip holding the hair flies at the base and off the shaft. I have long hair and when I start curling the ends of my hair it just slips through the flat iron. I have compared this to my much older iron and there is a definite difference if you look at the back. The clip fits the barrel snugly on the old one, but you can see daylight between the clip and the barrel on the new one. I sent this one back and reordered thinking it was defective but the new one is the same. I think this is a design flaw and doesn't work if you have long hair. I also want to return a new one, but I don't want to jeopardize my Prime account with too many returns. I do not recommend this straightener if you have long hair. I like it for short hair.
