This item was purchased to replace a similar pump that has been running tirelessly for 6 years (Little Giant). I needed a cheaper model like last year for our backyard fountain. This replacement surprised me - all summer and autumn she worked tirelessly. It's a bit noisy, but where it's located doesn't matter. The only downside is the lack of a basic filter; but it's easy to clean once it's removed from the keg where it is. It easily pumped water up to 5 feet; I even had to restrict the flow a bit!
