These heat resistant gloves work very well. I used to have gloves like this, which I really liked, but unfortunately my dog (actually) ate them. They had shorter sleeves than these and now I prefer gloves with longer sleeves. I feel safer stepping into a hot oven. These gloves protect my hands from the heat and the material stretches enough not to impair manual dexterity. When they get dirty, throw them in the washing machine. I have a safety tip my wife discovered. If the gloves get wet, do not use them to remove hot items from the oven. The water can get hot and transfer heat to your hands. The air in the glove material is the main insulator and water can counteract this insulation. The glove is undamaged! Just throw it in the washer and dryer and you're back in business. We really like these gloves and all the other mittens we almost always have in our desk drawer. We keep these heat-resistant gloves close at hand by hanging them on the fridge with a magnetic clip.
