Review on πŸ’‘ Hella 2721TB Twin Blister Standard Miniature 2721 Bulbs, 12V, 1.2W, 2 Pack - Reliable and Efficient Lighting Solution by Alex Pollard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits some Subaru shift indicators (mid 2000's Tribeca, Forrester).

Why do the manufacturer's manuals have part numbers for every bulb in the car EXCEPT the dash panel? Both Toyota and Subaru leave out this information as if believing the lightbulb will never burn out. However since it is undocumented I wanted to confirm that they are working with a 2006 Tribeca. Simply pry the ring around the shifter and then the rectangular base around it. The lamp is on the left. Use a small needle nose pliers and turn 1/4 counterclockwise and the lamp housing will pop out. You'll have to play around a bit to get the bulb and case over the console. Don't crush the bulb, just wiggle it. Replace with clean hands (or gloves). Just put it in the pillar space first and then try to guide it into the old hole with the pliers. You must guide him from below; You will never connect directly from outside the plastic. Once in the hole, use the pliers again to twist it straight (you'll feel it click without a sound). The dealer sells this lightbulb for $8 and some dealers don't know what the lightbulb is (it's unregistered), leading them to tell you to buy a house for $70. Not.

Pros
  • HELLA standard miniature lamps offer the best combination of luminous efficacy and reliability.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
