Edit: Now that my daughter is older they work really well. They rarely stay and catch their long hair. But when she was a baby, I didn't like how hard I had to press to make it click. Now I don't mind and they are tight on her head. I even use them for myself. For a small child I would recommend something else. They are very difficult to put on and take off. I couldn't use them on my child because I felt like I was digging into her skull to make her crack.
