Although advertised as quiet, this power head is anything but quiet. It makes a piercing, penetrating tone that becomes unbearable. Reading the comments from various other Turbocat models, it becomes clear that this nuisance is associated with many if not all Turbocat vacuum heads. I've done some serious research and still haven't found a suitable replacement for my old 1985 T21 (unknown brand) vacuum head. Interestingly, the Turbocat is the only air powered vacuum nozzle that claims to be quiet!
