We chose this model over countless others because of the chain (rather than cable switch) and USB charging port. I ordered two, one for each side of the bed. I measured the size before ordering so I knew they ran small. Definitely best for a desk or bedside tables. The included bulbs illuminate a good portion of the room, although we intend to use them primarily as a reading light. Here are some product notes: - Ours came with a pull chain (March 2018) - Soft bulb included. , pure white light, great for low light, although you can replace the bulb with any bulb up to 60w - I've tested the USB port to charge each bulb and they work well - although they don't support fast charging - see they look pretty good for the price (see attached image) - the only downside (possible) is that the USB port and cable are on adjacent sides of the base, not opposite, meaning you can if you want that the USB connector faces the front. See the wire coming out the side of the base - that wasn't enough for me to pull the star off.
