We bought this hob in October 2017 and installed it in December of the same year. In January 2018, we noticed a large scratch about 10 inches long on one side of the surface. Neither I nor my wife remember slipping on the surface with anything other than a rag. Please note that the ceramic hob we had before we bought it has lasted a good 20 years without any problems, so we are used to the care and handling of a ceramic hob. Fast forward to this morning, March 26, 2019. My wife goes to clean the hob and finds that the entire surface has cracked into about 30 pieces. We used the hob yesterday and everything was fine there. Nothing was dropped on it, nothing cold was placed on a hot stovetop, it just cracked at night. Now that our 6 month warranty has expired we are looking for a new hob. Unfortunately this was an incredible waste of money and we are without a stove until I can find a replacement that is the right size.
