Infiniti Outdoor System Unit fan stopped working. Expensive repair. Many leaves and wood debris were found within the block. When I researched it turned out that dirt could be causing the fan problem. After installing this mesh cover, all the leaves will stay up and if it's windy, most of the dirt will be removed by itself. Sometimes when I see leaves I blow them away too. High quality case, I recommend. Very easy to install, fits and covers the Infinity system outdoor unit.

Was easy to install. I have a Trane A/C and it seems an odd size as it looks more like a rectangle than a square, but the lid fits well. My only complaint, which is minor, has to do with the hooks on the ends of the bungee cords that attach to the device's air vents. They're supposedly covered in plastic so they don't scratch the paint, but two of them had the plastic come loose when the clips were put on, which was a little disappointing. We live in Florida and we have cuban tree frogs. This is an invasive species and they eat native tree frogs. They also climb into an outdoor air conditioner and accidentally commit suicide by either falling through or attempting to jump over the fan blades at the top of the unit. I used to use a piece of aluminum mesh on top of the unit that was held in place with magnets to keep leaves, twigs and dirt out. inside the air conditioner. While this solution worked, the edges continued to fray and didn't allow for a secure fit on the top of the device. This lid fits very well and lets in a little more air, but is knit tight enough to keep out leaves, twigs and other unwanted materials that would normally get into an air conditioner. Just yesterday I installed a Modern Wave 36" x 36" air conditioner cover on an outdoor unit. My SEER 18 unit measures 35+ inches at the top. I was looking for something to keep pine needles, pine "flowers", various leaves and oak "flowers" from getting into the unit and blocking the drain holes. and just rot there. It looks like the mesh on this cover will stop the needles, but it can miss a direct vertical hit - maybe. The time will tell. Everything else will definitely stop. Only about 0.5 cm
