We live in Florida and we have cuban tree frogs. This is an invasive species and they eat native tree frogs. They also climb into an outdoor air conditioner and accidentally commit suicide by either falling through or attempting to jump over the fan blades at the top of the unit. This wakes the kids up because the device is outside the window and Cuban tree frogs can get pretty big. So you get hit by the blades and then bounce off them repeatedly and it's loud. Children know this sound and it bothers them. So, at the recommendation of our AC guy, we got this thing to keep them off the top of the unit. It covers all places where living things can enter and is securely fastened. I look forward to no longer being woken up at 2:30 am by a crying baby distraught over the death of a tree frog.
