Review on Efficient Aeration with Eheim Air Pump 400 by Erin Ellis

The product comes with hoses and bubblers to save money. I also liked the size, build quality, and the dual controllers for each air hose. It has performed well since I hooked it up to my 100 gallon tank and there is good bubble flow. However, I have very sensitive hearing and although most reviews say it's pretty quiet I can still hear it vibrating and I have it under my fish tank cabinet in the living room. I know air pumps aren't exactly quiet, but my 10 year old Rena 400, which unfortunately ran out of juice, was very quiet. I would have bought another one, but production has stopped. So I'm a bit disappointed because it runs a bit more expensive than other air pumps and it's still noisy. This is my first time using it, so I changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars because the noise level was very important to me. But I've found that it doesn't have enough power to run my two 6" vents at full power on their own. This makes it run quietly, but for the price I expect more performance. But in general I am satisfied with the air pump.
