Good pump for the money, I have them on both sides at maximum power. to a 3 way dual inlet valve that is adjustable so I can balance the 2 filters I use for this. Even at full flow the Eheim 400 is the quietest air pump I have ever experienced. Adjusting it down makes it even quieter. I have the Whisper 10, 150, 300, Eheim 400 and the Fusion 700. I bought this unit to use some sponge filters in my 180g freshwater aquarium. The stand is over 3 feet off the ground and the tank itself is 2 feet tall. The overall height from where I have the pump to the top of the tank is 5 feet. It works very well and creates good airflow.
