So far so good, very impressed.

I will update this review later after the pump has run for a while but so far it has been great. I've pumped a lot of dirty water uphill through a long (75ft) hose and had no problems at all. I don't use it as a drain pump, I'm a landscaper and use it to pump dirty water and dirt and I'm very impressed. I didn't want to use my expensive pond pump for this because I was afraid it would clog. I'm so pleased that I'm planning to buy another one. I pumped some clean water through it as a precaution after pumping really dirty stuff, so maybe that would have helped. Overall I think this pump is great. Pond pumps of this capacity (which are not even recommended for pumping very dirty water and clogging with larger particles) are much more expensive and actually perform no better than this. So the price of this unit doesn't compare to my municipal pond pump (designed for waterfalls etc but I use it primarily for cleaning ponds) which is around $750. I think a more expensive pump (should) have better head pressure, but for what this pump has done so far, all I can say is WOW!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
