My girlfriend's sump has failed. She has an issue with waterfalls when it rains, like Niagara Falls in her basement, which is a separate issue. This thing was looking at that waterfall and giggling like it was a dripping faucet trying to fill a kitchen sink. No more than six inches of water in the basement if the yard floods. Oh, it's very quiet too.

I have used the pump twice within a week of receiving the device. The pump works perfectly and is very quiet; I need to test the drain to make sure it works. The drain connection could be improved if the factory offers a standard ¾ garden hose connection; However, a visit to the hardware store for a few PVC irrigation parts solved the problem. The outflow is about 10-15 g/min. The pump has worked well so far. Let's see what happens in a month, a year or two.

Bought this pump specifically to pump out my pool at the end of the season. The pump proved to be even more helpful when we decided to renovate our pool. To do this, the pool had to be pumped dry. I hooked up the pool vacuum hose to this pump, routed the hose over the fence, plugged in the power cord and you were done. It does the job very well. I can't attest to how well the pump handles sand or other debris in the media being pumped, but for clean water it performs like a champ.

This pump is good and easy to install. I used a 1" PVC to 2" PVC adapter with a check valve, don't forget to drill 3/16" in front of the check valve, and I run this pump 160 feet into the trench. This is an excellent pump for fairly large volumes of water. I've used other pumps with success (see picture) but this pump has two advantages: claims to pump dirty/muddy water (other pumps tend to clog) and low cost. This type of pump with a large diameter hose (see picture) will pump much more water than a garden hose. I use this with a fast banjo jack.
