This pump is good and easy to install. I used a 1" PVC to 2" PVC adapter with a check valve, don't forget to drill 3/16" in front of the check valve, and I run this pump 160 feet into the trench. Make sure that the float is clear of the pump and not hitting it, this is with any automatic float, I use this pump 24/7, it turns on wherever you place the float, I have a zip tie/pipe tie for my application Used, The pump has a slot for a float, I just wanted a little tighter on/off control. No problems so far, I keep checking. Use the GIF to protect your pump like you would any other device would do.
