Review on ๐Ÿ’ฆ Barbarians Tactical Hydration Pack: Lightweight Military Molle Backpack with 3L Bladder for Optimal Water Storage by Mark Jefferson

That looks great. although appearances can be deceiving

The first thing that struck me about this bag is that there is no hook to attach the hydration bladder inside the bag so it always stays upright once placed in the bag. This leaves the hydration bladder started curling up as I drank water and the bulging and weight of the water leaked the joint where the hose connects to the bladder and the water started dripping the faster I walked or when free climbing, the faster would leave the water. The first time this happened I thought I had routed the hose into the plastic elbow, in the middle of nowhere, removed the bag, checked the connections and they were tight. I also found it a bit difficult to suck out the water, drinking became part of the training, the water did not flow as easily as I had expected. The first sip of water was always HOT or warm, the hose although covered in black rubber material did little to prevent the water from heating up having been exposed to 100 degrees plus weather after leaving residue in the hose, although the water always tasted fresh. and chills when I put ice in my bladder before hiking. The lap belts got lost and came loose, all I had was my phone strapped to one of the belts and they slipped and got lost, I had to tighten these belts every 50 meters which was very annoying. The chest strap eventually came off completely and I couldn't fix it so they're gone now. The bladder is solid, doesn't make the water taste weird, and the main seal at the top was solid and the large opening made it easy to add ice, but as mentioned above, the elbow joint wasn't as secure and tight. The pockets are big enough to fit protein bars and a compass, but I wouldn't trust my phone for fear it might get wet. When I first used the backpack, upon my return I noticed that the seams on that round flap were beginning to rip and tear.
