Absolutely love this bookcase - it has a unique style with the wood and metal, and the open style makes it feel less imposing than a traditional bookcase. I used this in an odd circular space I have in my house and I’m going to use as an office/library. It was simple enough to build. Came with everything I needed. Took me about an hour by myself. The frame is okay at best. The shelves are sturdy. What made me return 2 out of the 3 shelves was the stickers. I mean post-it note technology has been around for quite a while. I bring this up because a good 30 minutes of my hour and a half assembly was spent scraping the stickers off. One of them was a 1.5" by 0.5" sticker that said "Made in China". Only problem I ran into was very minor and the only reason I am going to mention it is to maybe help some of you out. When assembling make sure all holes line up on the frame, I wasn't paying attention and it didnt mention in instructions so I had to undo and flip. I put this together for my not boyfriend in about 2 hours. I was high as a kite and took 2 smoke breaks during assembly or it would have been much faster but not as much fun. I only needed the little strange tools it came with. It is sturdy and I was worried about it looking cheap but it did not, the rustic wood looks great.

I needed to replace a bookcase and didn't want to spend a lot of money to do so. This bookcase is well made and looks great in my home office. I was able to assemble myself, the manufacturer provided everything needed for assembly, no other tools necessary. I will say that alignment of the metal frame with the pre-drilled holes in the shelving was a little challenging, follow the manufacturers suggestion to only tighten screws to no more than 70%, then go back and tighten everything up. They are heavy and take a few hours to assemble, but it is well worth the investment. If you do not mind a robust assemble project, then I highly recommend these shelves. All the parts fit as intended. Plenty of screws, even a few spares. I used a ratchet to put in the screws which made the assemble a lot easier.

This shelf works perfectly in our house to fill a tall wall. There is lots of space on the shelf and it is quite sturdy. It was a little bit of a hassle to assemble, but if you had 2 people, it would probably be a lot easier.
