Tired of my cheap particle-board bookshelves crumbling every time I moved them, I wanted some attractive bookshelves that can take a LOT of weight. This fits the bill!Of the 3 different shelving units I bought (by 3 diff. brands), this one by Ironck is easily the sturdiest. The thickness of each shelf (thicc!) and the way each shelf is supported by three points and overlaps the ends, there is no opportunity for sag. I bought a *very* similar design by another brand -- apart from being a narrower 2-support unit, it appears identical -- and its shelves visibly buckle under the weight of 10 art books. I had to repurpose that as a laundry room shelf because it just can't take the books. This Ironck double-wide w/3 support columns CAN TAKE THE BOOKS. I have the unit packed with about 200 heavy art and music books, and it's doing its job without deformation. I love it.
