Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does a good job Burt's is always good

GENERAL Just at first glance the packaging was lovely and all but the lotion was a lot smaller than I expected. It's ok because the sizes are clearly stated in the description and I just wanted this set to try some of their hand care products to find a new routine because the weather is changing and my hands are really suffering. The ingredient lists seem pretty good. They list the scent but add a note that it is a 'natural' scent. Who really knows what "natural" means for companies these days, but the scents actually come across as pretty natural, not synthetic or toxic. I have asthma and am very sensitive to perfumes and I don't react at all to these substances, so I guess your skin won't mind either. Cuticle creams with lemon oil are said to have a distinct lemon scent. However, it is less of a "cream" and more of a wax. It melts well when you touch it, making it more like butter when applied. Not as thick as I'm used to when grooming cuticles, but it seems to be doing a decent job. Now my cuticles are very rough; They fall apart legally. I have suffered from compulsive nail biting my entire life. I put this on my cuticles and nails every day and forced myself to stop biting. The end result of this ordeal for me is that my nails are healed because they no longer suffer every day combined with hydration and protection. HAND CREAM WITH ALMONDS AND MILK Unlike cuticle cream, this is actually a cream - a very thick cream. Despite its thickness, it spreads very well on my skin. The feel is really nice and not what I expected from such a thick product. My hands were dry and itchy from the weather change and this remedy healed them quite well. Does it smell like almonds (no wonder) and lots of cinnamon? One of those intense autumn scents that I personally don't like, but different. Regardless of my personal preferences, it's not unbearable or overwhelming. REVITALIZING SHEA BUTTER HAND CREAM This product has a really earthy smell, mainly due to the sesame oil it contains. It's not entirely pleasant, but it's not unbearable or super powerful either. Thicker than traditional hand lotion but thinner than cream. This is also easy to distribute. I also used it every day for my dry hands. COTTON GLOVES Cotton gloves seemed a bit unnecessary? They helped retain some of the moisture but perhaps a better material should be used as cotton is also very dry. I'm not an expert so this is just based on my personal experience. But I think it's a nice little bonus. The instructions say apply hand cream to clean hands and wear at night, but I apply it to work in the morning because I don't like my hands being too warm at night. I have fairly small hands (ring size 5) and the gloves are very flattering. They definitely seem to fit big hands but can just be uncomfortable. The spaces between my fingers were very long, but I was able to put them down and still do something mostly normal (I'm typing with them now). The downside is you can't use your phone in it... but that's to be expected lol. I will definitely wash them after each use.
