Looks like a well made product. It fits well and holds up well when tightened. I read a few reviews that said an inch piece a round bar would go through the collet easily (as most good collets should allow.) I bought this collet precisely for this reason because my other 1" 5C collet has a step and is only about 3/4" long into the collet. Surprise, the internal threads on the end of the collet prevent 1" material from going through. I had to use a 1" blade wheel to grind the threads down to an acceptable level to ensure the material was all the way through I'm not talking about a little deburring here and there It took a full 10 minutes of grinding with an 80G fan grinder to cut the threads The lack of internal threads is annoying t not me, which is why I didn't have a question about it. I'm wondering if anyone actually makes a 1" collet that has a fairly large diameter end to end. I've never had a problem like this in the past. The only reason I didn't send it back was because I was afraid the next one I got would be worse.
