bought 2 of these, the first died after failing once during testing. the second lasted a day and then began to sound the alarm. I used a separate "sniffer" since the propane system was completely off and a leak would be really dangerous. however, no other device detects the leak. The alert wasn't as advertised either - it was supposed to contain a message letting you know about the problem. Instead, it honked incessantly like a car alarm. totally weird. I would recommend looking for another product for sure.
