This is a small device with two points of contact that is used to display the EKG waveform on the integrated OLED display as well as the supplied one serves app. The device can be used as the equivalent of a chest lead, lead I, or lead II, depending on the contact points. Lead I can be demonstrated simply using both hands as contact points. The device works well and reproduces exactly the same results that I can get with a 12-channel hospital device, but of course it is limited by the perspectives possible with two points of contact. Ultimately, this means it's not what you'd get from an EKG in a doctor's office or hospital, but it's a lot more than what you'd get from a simple check of your pulse. More importantly, it provides records and documentation of what your heart trace looks like in different life circumstances. You can capture them and share them with your doctor. Overall, the device is easy to use, charges via the included USB cable, and can be kept by the bedside, in a purse, or pocket for on-the-go use. I had no connection issues or the iPhone app. The instructions are written clearly and understandably. The OLED screen is crystal clear; It's small because the device is quite small overall so you'll definitely need reading glasses if you're far-sighted, but clarity is good even in bright light.
