The way the strainer sits in the bowl means that when a cup is brewed, the coffee grounds remain under the strainer. Water was just pouring into my cup at first then when the thick surface emerged it immediately filled it all up and the dripping stopped. I've been playing with the grind size and haven't been able to brew a good cup of coffee. Coarsely or finely ground coffee was the least likely to get into my cup. Looks cool and is solidly made. Maybe good for camping but not for home use. I get much better results with paper filters and V60.
