Bad results with this set

I wanted them to work but every candle I made had a bad wick. This may be due to my inexperience with candle making or having melted the wax to reuse store bought candles with faulty wicks, but I have tried several different candle waxes several times with limited success. They may be too thin, but I can never get all three to burn at the same time. Again, maybe my technique is to make candles. I can say that the adhesive part is very good. I went with the cheap option so that's understandable.
