The only tricky thing is making sure the rooster can't jump out of the top. Rooting plants is ideal for filling a feeding/breathing hole. It's just too big for me to be comfortable. Beautiful real glass is easy to clean. The LED is white (my picture looks purple). The shell stands on the base. Very nice simple 3-piece design. Keep slightly underfilled as shown in the picture. This allows the feed to swim freely and the bettas really need access to the surface to breathe.
