Do not tumble dry

I bought them as a gift for my granddaughter. As I was about to pack them up, I was surprised to read the washing instructions: "Do not tumble dry; hang to dry." I am sure my baby's parents will not follow these instructions. I hope the socks survive the dryer! I would have sent them back but I did not see these instructions in time.
