Review on Tervis Triple Walled NFL New Orleans Saints Insulated Tumbler Cup: 20oz Stainless Steel, Keeps Drinks Cold & Hot by Michael Bryan

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Works great but edges are peeling and rusting

I'm not a fan of drinks hotter than 30 degrees Fahrenheit, but this glass can't be beat when it comes to staying cold. Because of its size, I can fill it with ice and leave room for half a liter of a drink. The ice lasted overnight. But I particularly liked how long the ice lasted when I was working in the yard. Also perfectly adequate for a 4-hour drive. Now I only drink from it, except for the occasional morning coffee cup. Edited: Recently the underside of the sidewall coating has peeled off. I hope this problem stays confined to this area and doesn't spread. Added October 2021: Top border is now peeling and bottom border is much worse. I don't use the dishwasher, just gently hand wash it every week with TLC, a soft sponge and a soft lid brush. The poor build quality is very disappointing. Added November 2021: At the junction of the bottom with the sides, just above the bottom, this "stainless steel" is starting to rust. I was tempted to remove another star but it still insulates very well. It has now switched from indoor use to garden and travel use. Just bought another 30 ounce insulated mug, best value from Mutnitt, solid color (purple LSU), no logo, for $15.14 shipping including tax, less than half the price of this mug, and it comes with 3 stainless steel straws and 2 lids and a brush to clean the straw. I filled it halfway with crushed ice last night and 12 hours later it still has ice in it. Tervis can't keep up. Bottom line: functionally 5 stars. 1 star for looks.

Pros
  • Triple insulation reduces condensation and keeps drinks hot for up to 8 hours or cold for up to 24 hours (be careful with hot liquids).
Cons
  • It's OK
