My OEM left bolt cover came loose somewhere during a ride after about 18 months of use. I bought them and was happy with their fit but the left cover came loose on the first ride, luckily I noticed and put it in my bag. I reinstalled it at home to make sure it was attached properly and used some hot glue to hopefully keep it in place. Unfortunately I didn't notice on the second ride when it came off the shoe somewhere. The bottom line is that if the original spike caps start falling off, the replacement spike caps will most likely do the same. The problem is with Speedplay's design rather than the quality of the product itself. I'm going back to standard Speedplay boots with overlays that can be slipped on and off as needed.
