I really like this webcam. I recently bought a webcam. not the cheapest you can get, but far from the best. Now it seemed like a good idea to work from home and do family Zoom calls instead of personal stuff. I thought I would be happy with that, I was wrong. There was a lot of thought as to whether I should bother getting another one. From the moment I hooked up an Amcrest webcam, any thoughts of getting another anytime soon just melted away; there was absolutely no comparison. First of all, as they say: the product is fully operational. I mostly use a Mac, but I also have a Raspberry Pi (and have plans to get it working with a Chromecast in the future!) and the camera is ready to go as soon as you plug it in. It's much more aesthetic than most webcams. I use; small, light and looks very modern. The image quality is fantastic, not only does it capture fine detail but it handles colors VERY well. I have color changing lights and in the past cameras have had terrible trouble getting them fixed properly. Even an ordinary light bulb gives the impression that the whole room is pink. Not with this camera: what I see on the screen is exactly what I see around me. It also works fantastically well in low light. I have an Amcrest security camera so I knew it was a great brand... but I'm really, really happy with this webcam! The protective case is a great feature, it's also very thick plastic and most that I've seen are pretty brittle. I would recommend this camera to everyone!
