Review: RevainBasics 1-1/4" Chisel, Nylon Handled Spatula I have to admit I wasn't sure at first what kind of "tool" I should have be this product. Is it a spatula or a chisel? after working with this tool for a while I can say with confidence that it's a tool, well both Cons, as thick as the blades of my other spatulas, I found the blade had little to no flexibility, it doesn't bend at all, a stiffer blade is slightly less useful in certain situations when applying putty than a chisel, this tool has also a sweet spot between thick enough for some uses and not thick enough for other uses, i have found the blade to be thicker than other blades though tels I have it is not as thick as many of the chisels I have. In my quick test, I found the blade great for scraping dried paint or dried sealant on a piece of wood. However, I'm not sure if the blade will last very long when used as a real chisel e.g. B. to fell a tree. at least not for anything serious. The tool has just enough angle at the chisel end to be useful, although I found the tip of the tool to be blunt; what to expect as I would use this tool mainly like removing paint etc. The handle of the tool is solid and the blade connection is solid so I expect the spatula will last for many years. . The handle also has a handy knife storage hole which is nice to have. The blade width is a true 1 ¼ inch; The length of the tool including the handle is approximately 7 ¼ inches. The thickness of the handle at its thickest point is approximately 5/8 inch. This multi-tool has its pros and cons, but overall, at least for me, I like the convenience of having a tool that I can use as a spatula and then also instantly flip and use as a strong yet lightweight scraper.
