Having made the habit of locking my keys in the car I decided to purchase this to have on hand. I've had to use it twice already, so I'm starting to feel like a pro. The metal rod is too thin to easily "manage" the tip and press the locking buttons. The joints where the bars interlock also loosen when you try to maneuver the bar, causing the tip to deviate from the latch. However, the various accessories included in the kit are extremely useful. If I were to buy this again I would look for a stronger/longer lasting version to speed up the unlocking process but this product has worked successfully for me twice before so I'm grateful for that.
