Fine but can still choke

We bought these spoons hoping they would be big enough so our 5 month old couldn't choke on a spoon. She did this by holding the spoon incorrectly and putting the whole handle in her mouth. Using these spoons definitely requires a lot of control. Another disadvantage is that the amount of food on the spoon is difficult to control due to their flat shape and the small proportion of the "cork". On a positive note, our baby likes to use them as a teether.
