The material for this skirt is a bit thicker than I thought which is good and it doesn't show through! It definitely should not be worn as part of a business attire unless it looks like a thin cotton jersey skirt worn casually in summer. However, if you have a small waist and full hips and want to wear this around your waist like a real pencil skirt, you may be disappointed. I'm 5 8 inches, my waist is 29 inches and my hips are 44 inches (bought 2XL). If I lift the skirt up to the belly button, the waist line will leave a wide gap, it doesn't fit my waist at all, but fits perfectly around the hips and hips. I will have to change that. I can still wear it with the skirt pulled down, but I didn't buy this skirt for that reason. It won't be a pencil skirt. I still like it, but curvy buyers beware.
