holder/charger serves this purpose. Overall a decent product. 2 things that can be improved and buyers should be aware of.1. The motorized clip that holds the phone in place does not work when the car is off. So if you forget to remove your phone before turning off the engine, you have to pull the phone out with little effort. That's fine, except for issue #2.2. The clamp that secures the block to the air vents is pretty flimsy. They seem to flex very easily and don't hold the vent very tight. If you have a mount in "landscape" orientation, the device will fall off after a few days of use. This is due to a combination of a weak clip and the fact that the ball joint is off-centre, so the pressure on the clip is uneven in landscape mode. Back to problem #1, when you have to force the phone out of the holder, it loosens its grip on the vent and after a few times the device falls down and you have to squeeze it. back to ventilation. No problem if you have the holder in "portrait" orientation, but I like to use my GPS in landscape (i.e. sideways).
