I bought three of these valves to replace old toilet shut-off valves with copper tubing. So far I've installed two, one of which worked. I'm not impressed. The first one I tried worked, the second leaked a little. And if they're leaking, unfortunately there's little you can do β you can't tighten them. So I had to take the leak out and replace it with a compression fitting shut-off, which in hindsight would have saved me time if I had done it first. And if you're in a tight space or have a short plug poking out of the wall, removing one of these parts is a real pain - save yourself a little more effort than removing a compression fitting (with the right tool: Pasco 4661). I have a deburring tool and depth gauge, and I cleaned the pipe well before installing it - oddly, the leaking pipe ended up on top of a nearly intact copper pipe, and the one that worked went on the pipe where the previous valve had been overtightened . .Lesson learned. I'll try the third one, but I'll probably only use compression cutoffs from now on.
