This is a turning point for my beadwork. I can easily see small balls and crimps. I can work faster with no eye strain (or patience!). This is a solid strong light. It gives off bright, clean light with no harsh glare so you can really see what you're doing. It turns on and off with a simple touch, and if needed you can dim it with a light touch on the base. I like to use it on the base but you can mount it on the table. The edge of my desk is smooth thick plastic so it doesn't hold up too well, but it could just be my desk. The charging port is a good idea, but the light will blink and/or turn off if you're charging while you're working. . It doesn't matter to me and the light does its job very well so I still give it 5 stars and would recommend it for any fine detail work.
