This lamp is great! I like the clip and the grip. He's also very bright! The USB port helps when I'm working on a project and listening to music on my phone. I can charge while I work.

I bought 1.75x (3 diopters) for my parents to read. The magnifying glass is made of glass, not acrylic, which works great and is scratch resistant. The adjustable tube is durable and easy to use. The clip and stand are one of imo's best features. The base is heavy enough to prevent the entire unit from tipping over. The USB charging port on the side is also a plus. Highly recommended!

My first magnetic light. Use for nail art. Very happy with the light and its size. The arm is very easy to adjust. The power/dimmer buttons hardly need to be touched to adjust. Both things are just as good if you want to set them up entirely by hand. The base is also very heavy. Very glad it's not moving towards you. And of course I liked the extra phone jack. Works great for use with a UV nail lamp.

Approximately 2 months in use (no pun intended). Today it turned on for no reason, then turned off and that's it. The lamp isn't working and the Brightech customer service number is 100% useless - it asks you to dial '0' for the 'customer satisfaction queue' and then quickly says 'no customer service representatives available, try again later', which prompts you to be hung. Several attempts on the line gave the same result. Serious?

This item's description says it has a charging port and a lithium-ion battery. It looks like it can be used wirelessly. It can only be used when the included power adapter is plugged into a standard 120 volt wall outlet. I need a wireless model. If you need wireless, don't buy this. This item is NON-RECHARGEABLE and DO NOT INCLUDE BATTERY. I sent this one back and found another on another site that was much cheaper, better quality, and wireless/rechargeable.

Ok I know I only gave four stars but. the flexibility of the hand I need something easier to manipulate; and the increase should be stronger or adjustable. It would also be great if the actual magnifier were an inch or two larger in circumference. Otherwise this is a great product! It is mounted on a post or inserted into or under a heavy horseshoe base (which serves no purpose other than to weigh down the lantern when not attached to a surface). This is a turning point for my beadwork. I can easily see small balls and crimps. I can work faster with no eye strain (or patience!). This is a solid strong light. It gives off bright, clean light with no harsh glare so you can really see what you're doing. It turns on and off with a simple touch, and if needed you can dim it with a light touch on the base. I like to use it on the base but you can mount it on the table. The edge of my desk is smooth thick plastic so it doesn't hold up too…

My husband bought me this lamp because he knows I wouldn't spend that much on myself but believe me…. It's worth every penny. I'm blind as a bat, thanks to the magnifying glass the beads in my painting are the perfect size to paint. I looked at the thing for hours and never had a headache or nausea. The clip is very strong which is perfect and you can bend it to always have the best view. Unfortunately mine got very dark one day. So I emailed the seller and we went back and forth a few times…
