I wanted to replace the stock plastic spout on my Berkey and this fits and works great. It's a bit smaller and the on/off button takes some getting used to, but it does the job. I don't know what's up with the chunky silicone rings, but I have one in and one out and it makes the connection awkward and the spout "bounces" when you move the handle (if that makes sense). Because the piece is so thick? It prevents the spout from sitting flush and is less durable, but doesn't leak at all. It was worth the price.
