Very high quality! Impressive running time, complete kit including great accessories.

Okay, first I wanted to say that I am in no way a diver. I bought this light because I love everything 14500! lol, ok, i'm serious. I am a big fan of OrcaTorch products and when I saw this light I fell in love with it. True to OrcaTorch fashion, the lantern is packed with goodies. I like that the light works in one mode but I see that it can get warm when not submerged when running at 14500. So I decided to try it out. The light is warm but not hot. You have to have really good thermoregulation, and having a body that fat really helps. The included AA batteries might be a safer bet when it comes to heat. However the light when working with the 14500 cell is superb and very bright. The light is very diffused but the orange peel really smooths the beam and the result is amazing. I tried waterproofing by placing the lantern in a bowl of water and keeping the light great. I can see how good this light is for a diver or snorkeler. I know they make a strap that you can attach a flashlight to so you can swim hands free. This light will make a fantastic backup light. It will also be a fantastic light source for your car or handbag. One mode guarantees easy handling and is suitable for short-term illumination of close-up areas. The light is dimmer with AA batteries, but that's to be expected. You can also run AA concurrently for extended periods of time. The light puts out quite a bit of light, with one AA battery putting out 165 lumens. All in all, this would be a fantastic backup light. I would definitely use a different light and not go deep with a light. I mean I don't even leave my house to go shopping with less than 3 bulbs lol. The kit comes with a wide range of accessories and I find they cover most needs. You get two batteries and you can dive during the day just by taking the flashlight out of the box and you have a backup battery. It's very well thought out, but that's exactly what OrcaTorch does. They care about their customers.
