For some reason manufacturers have to overcomplicate the design of a simple door handle. What's wrong with being able to slide the handle the way it came out? This tool helps overcome one of the design flaws of this grip, but some vehicles require the panel to be removed to access the grip wiring and some have an anti-theft device which makes removal a bit more difficult. If you do more than just remove the handle and immediately install a new one, you'll have to use a hook or something to pull the lever back to re-hook the tool.
