Had problems from the start

Bought for my wife for Christmas. Immediately after installing this SD card on the Nintendo Switch, I encountered some problems: games that were purchased and saved to the Nintendo Cloud would not load onto the new SD card. We got a bunch of messages like "corrupted" and "unable to download to SD card" etc. Note that this was happening after the game was 99/100% loaded before we started getting these messages. (Yes, we formatted the card before using it and formatted it a few times to run it.) Strangely, some games were able to load onto the card successfully. Not quite sure if there were problems with the OEM SD card. Anyway, I just wanted to share this conflict with anyone considering getting one of these for their Nintendo Switch.
