This is the fourth walkie talkie set we have purchased for our company. The first two sets were small cheap plastic radios with poor sound quality that used AAA batteries. With the third set, I convinced the business owner to buy real walkie-talkies. This one was very similar to this Retevis set but cheaper (and from a different brand). It had good clarity but the main issue was that with moderate use they broke and the pocket clips were junk. They were also a little fiddly with extra buttons that didn't really work and a little-used "flashlight". Upon entering this set I immediately noticed that they are good quality and more durable than the previous set. Clarity is excellent and the pocket clips are strong and hold up well. The voice on them also sounds a lot better than on the last set. Used fairly often in all weathers and without any problems. Eventually someone managed to break one, but where I work *everything* breaks eventually. Considering only one has snapped so far and everything else has held up perfectly, that's a VERY good sign. With the last set, all the clips were broken at this point, several antennas and the battery was broken. . Those that run on AAA batteries have never been replaced or returned. Even the last set only had single bases, which was a huge improvement, but not as neatly organized as a solid base on this set. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for walkie talkies for personal or business use that are durable, easy to use and have good clarity but won't break the bank and don't require a license to operate. By the way, these are walkie-talkies with pre-installed channels, not FRS walkie-talkies that require a license.
