This is a life saver for me and my dog! My beloved boy had his right hind leg amputated because he broke it and when I took him to the OSU vet it was found that he had cancer (vascular cancer) that had metastasized to the hind leg bones making recovery impossible , so the amputation was just fixed. I am thankful that he has lasted this long, 8 months, and is still my "Sunshine Boy". I love having him in bed with me and so far I've been able to "lift" him onto my bed with a sling under his ass. He is an 85 lb Labradoodle 💕🐾., 12 years old. My situation has changed and next month I will be undergoing spinal fusion surgery which will not allow me to "accommodate" him. I went "searching" for his "Stairway to Heaven". Since he's a big dog and very clumsy, it took me two sets to get him to maneuver. These are wide steps and the climb is perfect for getting to the bench at the foot of my bed and then to the bed itself. If you notice most of the stairs are for small dogs and too steep and short. They are carpeted so he doesn't slip - the main thing is that he doesn't break his other leg, which was in good condition at the time of the operation. I still have to support him to lift him up and cheer him up with a tummy tuck, but I don't have to physically lift him. He won't get up on his own. He bangs on the step to let me know he wants to get up (he doesn't care that it's 3am! M). It was a wonderful discovery for both of us because we don't like to sleep alone. So glad I found her. The price is right, very easy assembly, they fit together, the instructions were unclear as the lettering on the parts was torn off, but I had no trouble DIY after looking at the pictures. They're light, so I can take them in the car to help him get up. Good buy for us!
